The Domaine de Gaujac benefits from a privileged site on the banks of the river in the Gard in the heart of unspoilt nature. The river, 16 km long, crosses Anduze and nine other communes before joining the Gardon d’Alès to form the Gard.
Just 50 m from the river banks, Camping Paradis du Domaine de Gaujac lets you enjoy the river to the full, allowing you to swim in the river while being protected from flooding. The pure waters of the Gardon d’Anduze create a unique landscape and offer many recreational opportunities.
As on the seaside, the bathing sites are numerous and promise you a water-filled vacation by the river. The banks of the river are home to a great biodiversity : they offer privileged places for a refreshing hike, a walk or a family picnic. Topped by ancestral stone bridges or bordered by pleasant quays, the waters of the roach contribute to the identity and charm of the towns and villages of the Gard.
Activities in the Gardon
Lovers of nature vacations and outdoor activities will enjoy a tailor-made stay at our family campsite in the Gard. The banks of the river are within walking distance, 50 m from the entrance to the estate.
Large, unspoilt beaches offer river swimming and fishing in the immediate vicinity of the pitches and chalets. The use of a vehicle is not necessary to enjoy the water activities during your stay!
The wild river Gardon d’Anduze, which forms the Gard at the confluence of the Gardon d’Alès, offers many faces: sometimes calm and shallow, ideal for family swimming and canoe trips, it is also more tumultuous and conducive to white water sports.
Kayaking and passing rapids between the rocks are a key activity in the Cévennes. Fishing enthusiasts will find an abundance of predators and white fish in the Anduze roach. The riverbanks are easy to access from your riverside Camping Paradis, and there are plenty of beautiful pebble beaches.
