Riverside campsite in the Gard

Campsite in Anduze at the edge of the Gardon

The Domaine de Gaujac enjoys a privileged site by the river in the Gard in the heart of unspoiled nature. The 16 km long river crosses Anduze and nine other municipalities before joining the Gardon d'Alès to form the Gard. 50 m from the shores, the Cévennes Domaine de Gaujac campsite allows you to take full advantage of the river, allowing swimming in the river, while being sheltered from floods. The pure waters of the Gardon d'Anduze create a unique landscape and offer many leisure possibilities. As at the seaside, the bathing sites are numerous and promise you a holiday under the sign of water by the river. The banks of the river are home to a great biodiversity: they offer privileged places for a refreshing hike, a walk or a family picnic. Surmounted by ancestral stone bridges or bordered by pleasant quays, the waters of the gardons contribute to the identity and charm of the towns and villages of the Gard.

The joys of camping in the Cevennes by the river

Lovers of outdoor holidays and outdoor leisure will enjoy a tailor-made stay at our Domaine de Gaujac campsite in Anduze. The banks of the river are accessible on foot, 50 m from the entrance to the estate. Wide wild beaches allow swimming in the river and the practice of fishing in the immediate vicinity of pitches and rentals. The use of a vehicle is not necessary to enjoy the water activities during your stay! The wild Gardon d'Anduze river, which forms the Gard by merging with the Gardon d'Alès, offers many faces: sometimes calm and shallow, ideal for family swimming and canoe trips, it is also more tumultuous and conducive to white water sports. Kayaking and rapids crossing between the rocks are a flagship activity of the Cévennes. Fishing enthusiasts find in the roach of Anduze an abundance of predators and white fish. The banks are easy to access from your campsite by the river and there are many beautiful pebble beaches.

For a waterfront vacation, note that the Domaine de Gaujac is also a Gard campsite with swimming pool
