Picturesque medieval city

Leaning against a rock on the banks of the Gardon, Anduze is a picturesque town with medieval buildings and a maze of narrow streets that connect squares. From the Middle Ages, the town has preserved its clock tower as well as part of the ramparts that protected the city at the time and a 15th century market hall. To discover during your stay at the Anduze campsite in the heart of the Cévennes…

Anduze, a charming town at the gateway to the Cévennes

In the gorge of one of the Gard’s tributary gardons, nestles the pretty town of Anduze, an old medieval seigneury and an important stronghold of Cévennes Protestantism in the 16th and 17th centuries. Gateway to the Cévennes, Anduze charms for its picturesqueness, its exceptional landscapes and the dynamism of its terroir. The pots of garden ornaments called vases d’Anduze are the result of a long local tradition : a Cévennes know-how perpetuated since the 18th century.
